I am a licensed clinical psychologist with twenty years of experience in helping parents navigate the tween, teen and young adult years with their children. Whether the presenting issue is teen substance abuse, school refusal, family conflict, self-harm, low self-esteem, overuse of technology, attention-deficit issues, anxiety or depression, or adjustment to circumstances such as divorce or loss, I'll help you help your child. I'll provide a clear and comprehensive assessment of the issue, and recommendations for the most appropriate solutions.
For the past decade, I have worked with adolescents and young adults and their families in the best wilderness therapy programs in the country. This has provided me with a wealth of experience in promoting transformative experiences in families.
I also have extensive experience in working with couples, especially around issues of parenting and creating a shared vision of intimate partnership.
My work with individual adults is based on a coaching model that promotes growth through awareness and skill development.
I bring all that I have learned and experienced to my current practice with families, couples, individuals, groups, and organizations. Sessions are in my office in the Maryland Farms complex in Brentwood. Please ask about in-home services and video-conferencing options.
